Jacob Lawren Ltd has entered into a joint venture with ALE Heavy Lift from the Netherlands.
The newly formed Company is called ALE HEAVY LIFT GHANA LTD. The objective of this company is to provide heavy and out of gauge haulage services for customers in West Africa.
Our services range from:
- Heavy haulage and out of gauge haulage
- Offshore installations
- Jacking and skidding
- Barges
- Heavy lifting
In these sectors we provide both earth works and civil works.
SOME HEAVY-LIFTING PROJECTS
130 ton Transformers to Kintampo
In 2018, Jacob Lawren Ltd and ALE HEAVY LIFT were contracted to transport 2x 130 ton transformers and accessories from the Tema port to a 330kva substation in Kintampo. Our scope included the offloading and installation of the transformers, aswell as the transportation of the general cargo. For the installation the technique of jacking and skidding was used.
Engines and Tanks to Siguiri Guinea
In 2018, ALE HEAVY LIFT and Jacob Lawren Ltd. transportED 3x 155 ton engines and 5 Out of gauge tanks from Takoradi port to a gold mine site in Siguiri Guinea. Due to the favourable infrastructure conditions it was decided the transport would go through Ghana Burkina and Mali before reaching its destination.

Jacob Lawren Ltd. is a 100% Ghanaian company based in Accra, Ghana. It has experience in Haulage, Heavy Lifting and Construction. The company was founded in 2005 by Marcel Jacobs and Sally Jacobs Agyemang. Over the past decade the company has grown continuously and currently gives employment to over 40 Ghanaians. Our customer base has been loyal over the years and some have been with us since the start of our company. The same goes for our staff.
